The Library is a complete
information resource centre designed
to serve students, teachers and
support staff.
We strive to support the diverse
academic curriculum and to meet a
wide range of student interests by
providing a multiple resource-based
space. We also seek to develop the
skills and self-confidence of
students so that they can operate
effectively in any library,
information or resource centre. The
Library provides a comfortable and
nurturing atmosphere for individual
and group study, and fosters a
lifelong appreciation of reading,
viewing and listening as sources of
pleasure and personal growth.
Our resources include: a growing
collection of books, audio books,
DVDs, and CDs; four photocopiers
(three black and one colour) and 34
desktop computers. Our automated
system - Destiny - gives students
and teachers access to information
through online research databases
and academic appropriate websites.
In addition, wireless and cable
connections to the campus network
throughout the Library enables
laptop users to access a wide
variety of applications.
Books are the most important part of
the Library. Despite our very
impressive collection of DVDs, movie
recordings and subscription
databases, the printed word in its
traditional format is where research
and reading skills begin.
