Our Department caters for three
official languages widely spoken in
South Africa: Sesotho, Afrikaans and
isiZulu. We strive to empower
students with advanced levels of
writing and speaking skills. Fluency
in these languages will allow
students to participate in the
country’s future, and better
understand the diversity of cultures
which make up South African society.
Students frequently participate in
speech contests to refine their
research and speaking skills at
public and debating forums.
Through the study of different
literature genres, students learn
about the history of their country
and the people which make up our
uniquely diverse community.
Our mission is to raise citizens and
leaders who are firmly grounded by
their culture and South African
heritage.
